​Obituaries are usually written by the family and submitted to the funeral home. At Hutchings Funeral Home, Inc. we will usually submit the obituary to the paper of your choice. Most of the obituaries we submit are to the Macon Telegraph. The Telegraph and other papers may have a word limit. If your obituary is over the limit we will edit it, and check with the family to make sure the more condensed version is acceptable.


Obituaries must be submitted to a funeral home. Only a funeral home can submit obituaries to the paper.
